DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with Heliopolis Center for the Arts and Calgary Arab Arts & Culture Society\, we are thrilled to host the launch celebration of Arab Heritage Month with international artist Ahmed Moneka. \nJuno-nominated artist Ahmed Moneka brings a vibrant musical journey from Baghdad to Toronto\, blending his Afro-Sufi-Iraqi heritage with African grooves\, Arabic folk melodies\, and contemporary influences of funk\, soul\, and jazz. \nJoined by his global ensemble\, Moneka creates a joyful\, transcendent sound that celebrates life\, love\, and the deep longing for home.
