In this lecture\, Dr. David Curtis Wright (PhD\, Princeton\, 1993) will trace Taoism from its earliest philosophical roots to its role in China’s shifting political and cultural landscape. \nDr. David Curtis Wright (楓邦隱者) is a professor of East Asian history at the University of Calgary. His research and writing interests include pre-modern Chinese thought\, the Mongols and their empire\, and the island of Taiwan.
