DESCRIPTION:From Form to Freedom: Music Workshop and Jam Session \nLed by musician Alejandro Torres\, this evening is dedicated to live\, spontaneous music. The idea is simple: bring your instrument\, join the bandstand\, and play. \nThe night begins with a performance from jazz fusion jam band Intrusive Thoughts\, followed by a workshop exploring how different levels of structure can shape a jam session. From completely open improvisation\, to more defined formats built around agreed-upon forms\, songs\, or frameworks\, participants will explore a range of approaches to collective music-making and consider how each can influence creativity\, communication\, and musical outcomes. \nFollowing the workshop\, attendees will have the opportunity to put these ideas into practice in a jam session for the rest of the night.
