Friday Jazz with Kate Melvina

Kate is the creator and lead of the Calgary-based band Tendavillage. Raised in a family of musicians, she was immersed in jazz from an early age and became an award-winning classical pianist as a child. By her teens, she had fallen in love with old soul, especially the music of Stevie Wonder, her lifelong idol. Over the past decade, Kate has become a staple of Calgary’s music scene.
